After
interviewing three more people I was able to find out more information on why
they made their purchases and what influenced them the most when making their
decision. When going to the shop they would already have the product in their
mind but they were not exactly sure of all of the other details. So, when they
are there the alternate factor that influenced them the most is the price.
Because of how expensive all the boards and bindings are that is their number
one concern when looking to make a purchase. The next factor right after that
is how does it look. When buying the product, they want something that applies
to them and something that they like. So, when making a purchase there are many
different alternate factors that go into their decision-making process.
When
going to buy the product the most likely place that they will buy is in the
store. The consumers want a new product and not something that has been damaged
or worn out. Because of the high expense usually people will charge it and very
few will pay in cash.
After the
purchase the thing that my customers think of the most is how does it ride. The
rightness would be if it preforms to their standards and rides the way that
they want. Things that would not appeal to them would be if they didn’t like
the product or they did not like the way it felt when riding. These are some of
the key things that customers think about with their products.
When
looking at the interviews and hearing what others have said there are many
different factors that go into buying the product and if one does not meet
their expectation then they will not buy it. Everything needs to be in order
for them to complete the transaction. Also, when talking to them during the
experience of buying and the post experience after riding if they like the
product in the store and don’t see anything wrong with it they will usually be
very happy with their purchase.
Hey Will,
ReplyDeleteI think that you found out some useful information from this set of interviews. Your product is different than mine but this week I found out that many would like to try it out before purchasing it, just like what you are trying to do. I think that it is interesting that your customers based their purchase decision on how the board rides, because many of mine based it off of how often they used the product. It makes complete sense with your product so this is good to know.
Thanks, Zach L.
